In ten mornings you can run an entire visit — greeting to next appointment — without waiting for a translator.

How it works

A commute, not a textbook.

Escuche. Hable. Sin leer, si puede.

  1. Morning

    Put in earphones

One big play button, skip ±10 seconds, script hidden by default. Speak after the tone. The pauses are the lesson.

  2. Thirty minutes

    Stay in the clinic

Check-in, tooth pain, the chair, open and close. Nothing you would not say to a patient this week.

  3. Tomorrow

    Come back

Each lesson reviews yesterday before it teaches. Same lamp, same grain, no streak counters.

Level 1 of 5 · Thirty lessons

Everything you say in a visit.

De la bienvenida a la próxima cita.

  1. 01

    El saludo

You're the dentist. You call your patient, Roberto Morales, from the waiting room, seat him, and take a first look at the tooth that bothers him.

    Free
  2. 02

    El nombre

You're the dentist. Before you start, you confirm Roberto's identity and details against his chart, as you would before any treatment.

  3. 03

    ¿Qué le trae hoy?

You're the dentist. Roberto is seated and his chart is confirmed. Now you find out why he came in today.

  4. 04

    ¿Dónde le duele?

You're the dentist. Roberto has a toothache. You narrow down exactly where it is before you examine.

  5. 05

    Desde cuándo

You're the dentist. You know which tooth hurts. Now you ask how long, how much, and what sets it off.

  6. 06

    Medicamentos y alergias

You're the dentist. Before any treatment, you check Roberto's medications, allergies, and health conditions.

  7. 07

    Pase y siéntese

You're the dentist. It's Roberto's treatment visit. You bring him from the waiting room into the operatory and get him settled.

  8. 08

    El sillón

You're the dentist. Roberto is in the chair. You recline it, adjust the light, and make sure he's comfortable before you start.

  9. 09

    Abra y cierre

You're the dentist. Roberto is reclined. You examine his mouth, guiding him with short, polite commands.

  10. 10

    ¿Le duele aquí?

You're the dentist. You test the sore tooth, find the problem, and explain the next step to Roberto.

  11. 11

    La anestesia

You're the dentist. Roberto is back for his filling. You numb the tooth, keep him calm, and check that the anesthetic has taken.

  12. 12

    Empezamos la resina

You're the dentist. Roberto is numb. Before you start the filling, you tell him what he'll hear and feel, and set up the tooth.

  13. 13

    Durante el procedimiento

You're the dentist, mid-procedure. You guide Roberto's position, check on him, and give him a break.

  14. 14

    Revisando la mordida

You're the dentist. The filling is placed. You check and adjust Roberto's bite, then bring the chair up.

  15. 15

    Indicaciones después de la resina

You're the dentist. The filling is done. You give Roberto his aftercare instructions before he leaves.

  16. 16

    Indicaciones después de una extracción

You're the dentist. You've just removed Roberto's wisdom tooth. Now you explain what to do and avoid at home.

  17. 17

    La receta

You're the dentist. Roberto needs an antibiotic and a painkiller. You check for allergies and explain how to take them.

  18. 18

    La próxima cita

You're the dentist. Roberto needs another visit. You explain why and set a day and time with him.

  19. 19

    El costo y el pago

You're the dentist. Roberto asks what the treatment costs. You give him the estimate and explain how he can pay.

  20. 20

    Formularios y seguro

You're the dentist. Roberto's insurance paperwork is incomplete. You help him finish the forms and explain the approval wait.

  21. 21

    La limpieza

You're the dentist. Roberto is in for a routine cleaning six months later. You clean, polish, and talk about his home care.

  22. 22

    Cómo cepillarse

You're the dentist. Roberto's gums bleed. You hand him a brush and floss and coach his technique.

  23. 23

    Las radiografías

You're the dentist. You take X-rays of Roberto's teeth, then show him the image on the screen.

  24. 24

La visita del niño: con el papá

You're the dentist. Roberto brings his son Mateo, age six, for his first checkup. You speak with Roberto, the parent, using usted.

  25. 25

    Con el niño

You're the dentist. Now you speak directly to Mateo, six. With young children, dentists in Latin America use tú, the informal you. This is the one exception in Level 1.

  26. 26

    Una urgencia

You're the dentist. Roberto comes in without an appointment. He broke a front tooth playing soccer, and his face is a little swollen on the other side.

  27. 27

    El paciente nervioso

You're the dentist. Roberto admits he's very afraid of the dentist. You slow down, explain, and give him control.

  28. 28

    Explicar el tratamiento

You're the dentist. Roberto has a second cavity. You explain in simple words what you'll do, how long it takes, and get his agreement.

  29. 29

    Al terminar la consulta

You're the dentist. The visit is over. You help Roberto up, hand him off to the front desk, and say goodbye.

  30. 30

    La consulta completa

You're the dentist. Roberto returns for a follow-up. This Level 1 review runs one complete visit, from the waiting room to goodbye.

Before you sign up

The short answers.

Do I need any Spanish already?

No. Level 1 assumes nothing and stays in formal usted the whole way, because that is what you will use with a patient.

How many levels are there?

Five. Each level is thirty lessons. You start with Level 1. Later levels stay on the same $15 plan.

Is there an app?

Not yet. The site works on your phone and installs to your home screen. Lessons stream, so a signal helps.

Why not Duolingo?

Duolingo teaches you to read a sentence. This makes you say the thirty sentences a visit actually requires, out loud, until they arrive without translating.

What if I cancel?

Cancel from the portal and you keep access through the end of the month you paid for. No email required, no exit survey you cannot skip.

Five levels at $15 a month — do I just cancel after Level 1?

You can, and that is fine. Most people run each lesson more than once and stay for the later levels.
